Temporary Generator Rental for LA Construction Sites
Diesel and natural gas generators from 25kW to 500kW — Tier 4 Final compliant, sound-attenuated, and delivered to jobsites across Los Angeles County with fuel and monitoring included.
When you need a generator instead of (or alongside) a temp pole
Not every jobsite is ready for a temporary power pole on day one. Maybe the utility transformer isn’t sized for your peak load. Maybe the meter spot is six weeks out. Maybe the project sits on a remote parcel where LADWP service won’t reach. Or maybe your tower crane and pumps draw more than the temp service will support during framing.
That’s where a generator comes in. We rent right-sized, code-compliant generators by the day, week, or month and pair them with the same dispatch, fuel-delivery, and monitoring service we provide for our temp power and internet customers.
Generator sizes available
25kW – 60kW
Compact, towable units for single-trailer setups, small remodels, or backup. Whisper-quiet sound-attenuated enclosures suitable for residential neighborhoods.
100kW – 200kW
The workhorse range for active construction sites. Powers tower lighting, multiple trailers, welders, compressors, and lifts simultaneously. CARB-certified Tier 4 Final.
300kW – 500kW
For ground-up projects with tower cranes, batch plants, or large MEP loads. Available paralleled in pairs for redundant 1MW+ capacity. We also stock natural-gas units for projects with extended runtimes.
What’s included with every rental
- Delivery and pickup across LA County
- Sound-attenuated enclosure (Tier 4 Final emissions)
- Sub-base fuel tank sized for 24+ hours of runtime
- Fuel delivery service — topped off on a schedule that matches your site load
- Distribution panel with breakers and twist-lock receptacles
- Remote telematics monitoring — we see fuel level, runtime, and faults in real time
- Preventive maintenance during the rental period
- Cable, cam-locks, and spider boxes as needed
Backup & standby applications
If your project relies on a temporary pole and a utility outage would idle the crew, we’ll spec a standby generator that auto-starts on loss of utility power. Common for tilt-up panel pours, concrete sequences, and crane operations where downtime is unacceptable.
Permits & compliance
We’ll handle the paperwork. Generators above the rule-203 threshold may need an SCAQMD permit; portable units typically fall under the registration program (PERP). We track CARB Tier 4 compliance, fuel records, and run-hour reports so your environmental file is clean.
Generator Rental FAQs
How quickly can you get a generator on site?
Standard delivery is next business day for units we have in stock. Larger 300kW+ units may need 2–3 days depending on availability. Call dispatch for emergency/standby same-day availability.
What size do I need?
Add up your peak loads (motors, lighting, HVAC, welders) and pad ~25% for startup surge. Our PM will run the load calculation with you and recommend a size on the call.
Diesel or natural gas?
Diesel is the default for short-term construction runs — widely available, easy to refuel, predictable. Natural gas makes sense when there’s a gas main on site and you want lower emissions or longer continuous runtime.
Do you handle fuel?
Yes. We have fuel partners across LA County and schedule top-offs based on your load profile, so you’re never the one calling for fuel at 4pm Friday.
Can the generator parallel with the utility or another generator?
Yes for our 100kW+ units. We can configure paralleled pairs for redundancy or auto-transfer to/from utility for standby applications.
