Contractors who plan for that get moving on schedule and contractors who do not lose weeks. We get the SDG&E application in as soon as the drawings support it, and where the permanent service is genuinely going to be late we will say so and price a generator to bridge it rather than let a start date quietly slip.

Because these are occupied neighborhoods, noise and hours matter more than they do on a commercial site.
